Report on conference on 25 June “Overcoming Barriers to Support following Brain Injury” (together with AGM)

The conference was well attended, and enjoyed by all. It also provided an opportunity for very useful networking.

It looked at homelessness, the impact of behavioural/mental health difficulties on rehabilitation, an MDT’s experience of working with CCD and disinhibited behaviours and ended with a survivor’s personal account of his experience after brain injury and overcoming the barriers that he encountered.

The AGM

Sarah Griggs introduced the new Executive Committee members and the existing members who had stood again (see https://abil.co.uk/abil-executive-committee-2023-2024/ )

She thanked Tony Hart, who had stood down as Chair after 8 years, for his amazing contribution to the work of ABIL over a 12 year period.
