Report on conference on 28 November – Reflections on 2023, with Festive networking

We were delighted to welcome delegates to ABIL’s in-person pre-Christmas conference.

The event focused on provision to support ABI survivors, their families and carers in London – with reflections from 2023.  It also provided those attending with an excellent opportunity for networking with others during the break and post-event festive refreshments.

We heard from:

Shona Falkner Mesner and Gerry Owusi-Gyamfi of South East London Neuro Navigation service about the role of neuro Navigators;

Anna McEwen, Chief Executive of Headway East London, about the charity’s events during the year to celebrate its 25th birthday;

Laween Saadi, Link Worker for The Silverlining Charity, about their activities and events;

Peter Freeman, Treasurer of UKABIF – standing in for Chloe Hayward – who gave us an update on the ABI Strategy; and

Elizabeth Nightingale, Neuro services lead, Chiltern Music Therapy, with an instructive and highly enjoyable festive session which had the whole audience taking part!

The programme and the first three of the presentations can be downloaded as PDFs here:
